The EEF.Junior youth section, which will be held on 2–4 September 2021 at the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, will unite high school students, world business leaders, and government officials.
The section is being organized by the Content Foundation for the Development of Expert and Analytical Activities, which will hold an event in Vladivostok as part of the Point Junior project with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education, the Roscongress Foundation, the NTI Kruzhok Movement, the Innopraktika Non-State Development Institution, the National Cultural Heritage Foundation and Synergy Corporation.
Content Foundation Director Yelena Sokolova stressed the importance of the event: “Today, it’s obvious that only fresh and bold ideas are needed to address world challenges. We wanted to create a space where the future generation could be actively involved in modelling socioeconomic transformations. The development of the Far East and strengthening its potential is one of the priorities of our country and its neighbours in the region, and representatives of the younger generation will take part in meeting this challenge. Young leaders will define the life of the region in 10–15 years, so they need to be integrated into the socioeconomic agenda as early as possible.”
The event will bring together schoolchildren, prominent entrepreneurs, and statesmen to discuss integrating the younger generation into the global agenda of the EEF. The EEF.Junior business programme will include panel sessions and strategic discussions on such topics as: the development of secondary vocational education (with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education); work at industrial corporations in the Far East (with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy); the impact of new cultural spaces on the development of regions (with the support of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation); and support ecosystems for youth start-ups in Russia and abroad.
‘Point Junior’ – a platform that brings together Russian and foreign schoolchildren with interesting thoughts and a desire to change the world. The project adds a cross-cutting agenda to key international discussion platforms, providing young children with the opportunity to take part in global events and receive mentoring support from the world’s leading businessmen, politicians, and public figures.
The first ‘Point Junior’ event was the SPIEF.Junior youth section at the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was attended by over 200 Russian and foreign schoolchildren, 100 world business leaders, prominent government officials, and representatives of the expert community.
‘Point Junior’ events are planned at such major international venues as: Russian Energy Week, Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona, Education Week at Expo 2020 in Dubai, and the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
